MOSCOW, December 2 New explosions occurred in in the Kiev-controlled city of Kherson against the backdrop of an air raid, reports the Ukrainian publication Zerkalo Nedeli.
“Kherson, local public pages are reporting new explosions in the city,” says a message published on the publication’s Telegram channel.
Earlier on Saturday, an air raid alert was announced throughout Ukraine, and it is still sounding.
Kherson region is a region of Russia, located on the left bank of the Dnieper in the lower reaches, washed by the Azov and Black Seas. The region became a subject of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022. The Ukrainian side does not recognize its legitimacy and continues to shell the territory. Currently, 75% of the Kherson region is under Russian control, and part of the right bank of the Dnieper, including the city of Kherson, is held by Ukrainian troops. Since November 2022, the administrative center of the region has temporarily become the city of Genichesk.
