On the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky — Milkovo highway, a serviceman hit a group of conscripts who were going to the canteen. This was reported by the Baza telegram channel, and later information about the accident was confirmed by TASS and RIA Novosti in the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
“According to preliminary data, the driver of a passenger car, moving on a public road, lost control,” the message says. The collision occurred on December 2 around 7:30 local time, as a result of which three servicemen were injured, the press service added.
According to Kam 24, the accident occurred near the Yelizovo stele. The agency claims that six conscripts were injured, one of them in serious condition. As Kam 24 reports, the driver was “hurrying to go to work at his unit” and did not notice the conscripts on the road, as he was “blinded by an oncoming car.”
Baza writes that the driver was 27-year-old lieutenant Igor N., and reports about 11 injured conscripts, three of whom were hospitalized. The rest, according to the telegram channel, received assistance on the spot.
