MOSCOW, December 1Laos asked Russia to consider a preferential option for oil prices, representatives of both countries said during the 17th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Laotian Commission on Trade economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
““The Laotian side proposed to the Russian side to consider a preferential option for oil prices between the oil companies of Laos and Russian oil companies on the basis of a bilateral agreement between the governments of the two countries,” follows from the protocol adopted following the meeting.
The Lao side also asked the Russian side to support capacity building in the field of response to chemical emergencies in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Moreover, both sides “expressed interest in continuing cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy.”
