The online cinema Kinopoisk has placed the “18+” label on the animated series “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic,” which was released from 2010 to 2019. Readers of Sota drew attention to this.
When exactly this age limit appeared is unknown. The support service of the Mediazona service reported that the labeling was established due to “new legislative restrictions.”
“Due to new legislative restrictions related to the dissemination of information among children, we have changed the age labeling of some films and TV series on Kinopoisk,” says the response from online cinema support.

Russian officials and pro-government activists consider the combination of rainbow colors to be a symbol of the LGBT community. For example, back in early November, the music channel TNT Music painted over the rainbow in the video for the song God of Music by the Korean boy band SEVENTEEN.

The lawsuit was preceded by the adoption of two repressive anti-LGBT laws in Russia. First, the law on “LGBT propaganda” was extended to people of all ages, and then medical interventions related to the transgender transition and changing the gender marker in documents were banned.
