Based on these ratings, political decisions are made, including including military interventions,” Fadeev said during a meeting of the HRC with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He noted that it is necessary to create a counterbalance — non-profit analytical organizations established, for example, within the BRICS framework. They would conduct objective studies of the state of affairs with human rights in different countries, without putting social rights out of brackets and without ranking countries according to rank, where the standard is the Western system, Fadeev explained.
In addition, according to him, the information environment on the Internet today is largely under the control of the United States. For example, the Google search engine tailors information to a specific user, supposedly for his convenience, but in fact for manipulation, Fadeev emphasized. “This is actually censorship,” he added.
