Putin warned Latvia about the consequences of a swinish attitude towards the population

If Latvia continues to apply for swinish with representatives of their own population who want to continue living in the country, the country’s authorities will soon be faced with a corresponding attitude towards them. This statement was made on Monday, December 4, by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian leader noted that about 40% of the population of Latvia were Russian-speaking citizens — “surely there are still a lot of them now.” At the same time, Russophobia was practiced in the Baltic countries even before Russia began the special operation, and now it is being used to achieve their political goals, Putin emphasized.

The President of the Russian Federation also commented on the emergence of the term “non-citizens,” which he described as something ugly, that “is now acquiring a new quality and a new scope.” According to Putin, this is “a generally strange invention of those who claim to be considered democratic countries.”

Previously, residents of the Latvian town of Ogre were prohibited from using fireworks at the same time as Moscow, because the local administration considered that launching New Year's fireworks at the same time as the Kremlin will threaten the national security of Latvia.

Chairman of Georgia's ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, said that Latvia's policy towards Russia is an example of double standards. He named certain “specific politicians” as the culprits.
