YEKATERINBURG, December 5Ugra investigators opened a criminal case against several bailiffs of Nizhnevartovsk, who deliberately ignored the collection of alimony from local residents in the total amount of 500 million rubles, reports the regional department of the RF IC.
According to the department, from June 2020 to November 2023, the bailiffs of the bailiff department in the city of Nizhnevartovsk handled over 1.5 thousand enforcement proceedings, the subject of which was the collection of alimony. At the same time, “in order to make their work easier,” employees of the Federal Bailiff Service did not take measures to hold debtors accountable, as a result of which the total amount of debt in enforcement proceedings exceeded 500 million rubles, which “significantly violated the rights and legitimate interests of collectors and minor children, the maintenance of which they were exacted,” added the SUSC.
“»A criminal case has been initiated against employees of the bailiff department in the city of Nizhnevartovsk and the Nizhnevartovsk region on the grounds of crimes provided for in part 1 of article 293, part 1 of article 285, paragraphs “d”, “e” of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence, abuse of power, abuse of power, committed by a group of persons),” the message says.
