Compliance Department control and financial monitoring of VTB Bank was awarded the Moscow Exchange award “For the development of technologies in the field of compliance”. It was awarded for the effective implementation of tasks to combat the misuse of insider information and market manipulation (PNIII/MR). In particular, the bank’s participation in the development of a new system for maintaining lists of insiders was noted — a pilot project, the results of which will form the basis for the rules for the entire market. This was reported by the press service of the financial organization.
“VTB Bank pays special attention to improving the internal control system in the field of combating the misuse of insider information and market manipulation.
In this case we are talking about on the development of internal control procedures aimed at identifying and preventing non-standard transactions that contain signs of misuse of insider information and market manipulation,” said a representative of the bank’s compliance control and financial monitoring department.
The award ceremony took place at on the sidelines of the conference “Compliance: Main Trends 2023”, where market participants, together with representatives of the Financial Market Infrastructure Department of the Bank of Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Moscow Exchange, the Higher School of Economics, and legal consultants, discussed changes in the vector of development of compliance in the financial market in 2023.
