MOSCOW, December 15. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the leadership of the State Duma and leaders of factions in the Kremlin.
First of all, the head of state thanked the parliamentarians for their hard legislative work.

Here representatives of all factions act as a united front,” he said.
As the president noted, the decisions of the State Duma create conditions for supplying the army and navy with everything necessary in the conditions of a special operation.
Putin also touched upon the topic of the upcoming presidential elections and stated that the election campaign should be held in accordance with the law.
» It is necessary to identify several fundamental positions. Firstly, everything must be carried out on a competitive basis and in full compliance with the laws of Russia,” he said.
The Russian leader stressed that any interference in the elections will be harshly suppressed, and all those responsible will be held accountable.
In addition, the head of state noted that when determining its position during the upcoming campaign, each faction must remember national interests and its responsibility to citizens, the country and its future.
In conclusion, Putin emphasized that the people are the only source of power in Russia, and promised to protect his freedom and the sovereignty of the state.
