MOSCOW, December 17 Two-time silver medalist of the USSR hockey championship As part of the Moscow Spartak, Igor Kapustin died at the age of 66, according to the official website of the “red-whites”.

During his career, he played for the capital's Krylia Sovetov and Spartak, as well as the Voskresensk Khimik, the Hungarian Ferencvaros and the Israeli Bat Yam. Together with the “red-whites” he twice won silver medals in the USSR championship (1982, 1983), also became a bronze medalist (1978) and winner of the European Champions Cup (1975) as part of “Wings of the Soviets”, won bronze in the national championship with “Khimik” ( 1984). After completing his playing career, he worked in the management of Krylia Sovetov, as well as as a children's coach.
Won the 1977 World Youth Championship as a member of the USSR national team.
