DONETSK, December 19 Energy company brigade in Donetsk attacked by an enemy drone, a foreman and an electrician were injured, the DPR Ministry of Coal and Energy reports on its Telegram channel.
«This afternoon, during restoration work, the team of the Petrovsky Western Distribution Zone of the Regional Energy Supply Company was attacked by an enemy drone. As a result of the release of an explosive item, the foreman and electrician of the operational field team were injured,» the message says.
It is noted that the victims were provided with the necessary assistance, the wounded were promptly taken to a medical facility. In addition, the aerial platform, which employees use every day to repair the damage and restore power supply to the residents of Donetsk, was damaged.
The Ministry of Coal and Coal Mining reminded that this is not the first time that power engineers have become victims of hostilities. In particular, in January 2023, three employees of the Petrovsky Western Distribution Zone were wounded as a result of shelling; in June, the driver of the State Backbone Grid Company died from his injuries.
