He emphasized that the standard of living in these regions, the entire range of social and government services must meet the general standards of the Russian Federation.
“A lot of work has been done to form the legal foundations on the basis of which peaceful life will be built in new regions. The entire system of state power is being restarted in accordance with Russian laws, management tools are being created,” Medvedev noted.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 30, 2022, following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, signed agreements with their heads on the admission of the regions to Russia. Then on October 5, Putin signed federal laws ratifying the admission of these regions to the Russian Federation.
