Hamas attack on Israel was supported by 70% of Palestinians from Gaza
The Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 was supported by more than 70% of Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The results of the corresponding survey were published by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
The survey was conducted in early December and involved more than 1,200 people: 750 adults in the West Bank and 481 in Gaza. The attack on Israel is considered right by 72% of respondents, 22% said the opposite.
The study also showed that despite the active military operations of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Hamas, support for the Palestinian movement is growing: it is supported in the enclave up to 42%, and in the West Bank — up to 44% of respondents.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu named the conditions for ending the conflict in Gaza. According to him, the military will continue fighting until the radical Palestinian movement is completely destroyed.
