MOSCOW, December 20 Zenit basketball player Sergei Karasev, who received a back injury in the VTB United League match with CSKA, was discharged from the hospital and returned to the team, according to the Telegram channel of the St. Petersburg club.
The meeting between CSKA and Zenit took place on December 10 in Moscow and ended in overtime with a score of 104:89 in favor of the hosts. Karasev was injured in the fourth quarter of the match. The Zenit basketball player unsuccessfully fell on his back while playing defense. The 2012 Olympic bronze medalist lay on the court for several minutes before being placed on a stretcher and carried off the floor. After the match the player was hospitalized.
