Judge of the 2nd Western District Military Court Sergei Krivosheev decided to apply “compulsory medical measures” against St. Petersburg resident Tigran Khachikyan, who shot at a riot police officer. Sota drew attention to this.
Khachikyan was accused of illegal possession and manufacture of weapons (Part 1 of Articles 222 and 223 of the Criminal Code), attempted terrorist attack and public justification of terrorism (Part 3 of Article 30; Part 1 of Article 205 Criminal Code and 205.2 Criminal Code), as well as encroachment on the life of a security officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code).
According to the criminal case card, the verdict was announced on December 12.
On the afternoon of February 24, 2023, a St. Petersburg resident got out of a taxi at the entrance to the Gostiny Dvor metro station and turned on the song “ Get up, the country is huge,” took out a weapon and shot at the riot police officer who approached him. Then he was detained.
In the video published by Fontanka, the man said that he had two Molotov cocktails with him. According to investigators, he was going to throw them into a National Guard car parked near the metro.
At the court hearing the next day, where he was sent to a pre-trial detention center, the man was brought with bruises and other injuries on his face. The investigator explained this by saying that during the arrest, Khachikyan “was stopped by a front sweep” and “fell.”
