Trade turnover between Russia and India exceeded $50 billion for the first time

MOSCOW, December 23 Trade turnover between Russia and India has doubled in ten months — to a record 54.7 billion dollars, follows from calculations based on Indian customs data .
So, from January to October, India doubled the import of Russian goods to 51.4 billion, and the supply of its own products to Russia by 1.4 times, to 3.3 billion.

Thus, trade turnover reached $54.7 billion — this is twice the figure for the same period last year and the maximum in history.

This rapid growth in trade allows Russia to remain India's fourth largest trading partner and second most important supplier.
The United States remains the leader here, although in January-October trade between them decreased by nine percent — to $99.9 billion. China ranks second (down by four percent, to $95.8 billion), followed by the UAE (minus nine percent, $64 billion). The top five largest trading partners of India are completed by Saudi Arabia (trade turnover decreased by 17 percent, to $37.3 billion).
