In St. Petersburg, a convicted Wagner PMC fighter, released from prison for participating in the war, was arrested in a case of contract murder.

The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent to a pre-trial detention center a previously convicted fighter of the Wagner PMC, businessman Alexander Tyutin, who was amnestied after participating in the war in Ukraine. This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.

Tyutin is accused of preparing for contract killing. According to investigators, the St. Petersburg resident, experiencing personal hostility, turned to the killer with a request to kill an acquaintance who was in Turkey. The businessman’s arrest became known on December 22.

As 47News wrote, Tyutin turned to his colleague at Wagner PMC with a request to kill a Russian special forces soldier. The businessman suspected that his wife, who is 40 years younger than him, was cheating on him with a security officer. At the same time, the Baza telegram channel reported that Tyutin planned to kill not the special forces soldier, but his wife.

“However, Tyutin did not complete his intent due to circumstances beyond his control, since law enforcement officers became aware of the above crime,” the court said in a press release.

In 2018, Tyutin was detained on charges of organizing the murder of his niece — she was claiming a share of the inheritance. The killer turned out to be an operative. During the investigation, Tyutin was accused of another contract murder: in 2005, the killer shot and hacked to death with an ax businessman Dmitry Zeynalov, his wife, 11-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter. Zeynalov ran a business together with Tyutin.

In 2020, after the jury’s guilty verdict, Tyutin was given 23 years in prison. However, in December 2022, it turned out that he had joined the Wagner PMC, was released and returned to St. Petersburg.

In January, the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, confirmed that Tyutin was given a medal for courage. “He is a killer, and in a war he is worth three or four, or even more, dandelion boys whose milk on their lips has not yet dried,” Prigozhin commented on the award then.
