In St. Petersburg, two 16-year-old college students and a 14-year-old eighth-grader were detained, suspected of attacking janitors with gas canisters in the Kalininsky district of the city. Fontanka reported this without citing the source of information.
According to the publication, the students were arrested, and the student was interrogated as a witness. At the students' home, according to Fontanka, they found two gas cartridges and «a three-charge starting device, on each of the charges a swastika symbol was marked with a black marker.»
As reported by Fontanka, employees of the St. Petersburg Center «E» “We discovered a telegram channel in which videos of the attacks were published and identified five episodes. The victims, according to the publication, are men and women from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan aged 42 to 53 years.
“The detained teenagers were not members of any organizations. They discussed the migration issue among themselves for a long time, and then decided, as they say, to take action. At the same time, they were guided by such a concept as “weak,” writes Fontanka.
St. Petersburg police confirmed the detention of two 16-year-old teenagers suspected of attacking janitors. A criminal case has been opened for hooliganism.
The department reported that the attacks were committed from December 15 to 20. The victims are three men and two women. One victim has Russian citizenship, all the rest are citizens of other countries.
The attacks on street cleaners in the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg on December 22 were also reported on by the NVMP telegram channel, which monitors videos published by far-right channels and identifies locations incidents. According to NVMP, the attacks took place in courtyards near the Grazhdansky Prospekt metro station.
