Three residents of Khabarovsk were convicted of illegal hunting of the Amur tiger . This is reported by the Amur Mash Telegram channel.
In March, a predator was killed in the Lazo area, after which it was transported to Khabarovsk. The arrest was carried out not far from Krasnaya Rechka, when one of the FSB officers acted as a potential buyer ready to pay 700 thousand for the carcass.
After an examination of the animal’s body by Amur Tiger employees, it was established that poachers were involved in its death. They were sentenced to 4 to 4.8 years in prison. In addition, each of them was fined 200 thousand.
