BELGRADE, December 25 In Belgrade Supporters of the pro-Western bloc «Serbia against violence» blocked the street in front of the Republican Election Commission, the correspondent reports.
At about 18:00 (20:00 Moscow time), protesters gathered for the eighth time in front of the REC building and blocked Kralja Milana Street.

Compared to yesterday, the number of demonstrators has decreased several times. They use whistles, horns and shout offensive slogans.

Earlier on Monday, several hundred students blocked traffic in front of the building of the Ministry of State Administration and Self-Government. Then they went up to the adjacent central street, Knez Milos, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Serbian government are located on one side, and on the other, the buildings of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, destroyed by NATO bombing, and foreign embassies. The demonstrators demanded that the authorities publish the lists of voters in the past parliamentary and municipal elections.
At the request of the election commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Public Administration, they checked the registration and actual residence at the addresses of about 500 controversial voters in Belgrade, but found no violations.

In Serbia, on December 17, early elections to the assembly and municipal elections were held in 65 cities and regions, including the country's capital. The coalition of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party of President Aleksandar Vučić “Serbia does not dare to stop” is in the lead with 46.66 percent of the votes.

The opposition bloc “Serbia against violence” has not recognized the results of the municipal elections to the Belgrade city assembly and has been protesting since December 18 in front of the building of the Republican Electoral Commission.

Vučić convened an urgent meeting of the National Security Council. In an address to citizens, he stated that these protests are an attempt to deprive Serbia of independence and sovereignty.
According to the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, eight police officers were injured, 38 protest participants were detained, they are suspected of “attempting a violent overthrow of the constitutional order.”
