The Russian government has established the size of the export quota grain in 2024 at the level of 24 million tons. This is stated in the decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, published on Tuesday, December 26.
The document applies to supplies of wheat, barley, corn and rye outside the EAEU.
However, a quota for the export of durum wheat from the Russian Federation is not established, since its export is prohibited until May 31, 2024.
It was previously reported that the annual rate of grain exports from Kuzbass abroad has increased fivefold. From January to November 2023, more than 170 thousand tons of grain products were exported from the region.
Since the beginning of 2023, more than 150 thousand tons of wheat and other grain have been exported from the Tyumen region. Most of the grain went to Kazakhstan — about 140 thousand tons. Grain was also sent to Latvia and China.
