Last week, the first spy photos of test samples of the new German model were published on the Internet, thanks to which we have the opportunity to get a first impression about her appearance.
The German company, like many others, is following the path of electrification of its model range. It already includes several crossovers, as well as the relatively large EQE and EQS sedans. More compact electric-powered passenger models will debut in the near future: next year, the electric CLA is expected to debut, which will become a production version of the concept of the same name, demonstrated in September this year. And a little later, the hero of this article will join him — an electric «tseshka», in accordance with the current naming system, it can receive the name EQC.

So far we have at our disposal only the very first photographs taken at a great distance; the samples themselves are hidden under a fairly thick layer of camouflage. However, you can already notice that the proportions of the electric C-class differ from older sedans: the new product will receive a slightly more traditional body shape due to a longer hood and a cabin that is not so strongly shifted forward. At the front, new headlights may appear, echoing the Vision EQXX concept shown at the very beginning of last year. The shape of the side glazing is similar to the EQE and EQS sedans, and the retractable door handles can also be borrowed from them. As for the rear, there are no significant differences from the company’s other electric vehicles yet. Most likely, the new product will receive lights of a similar shape, united by an LED strip.

New The sedan will be built on the MB.EA platform, designed for the company's mid-size and full-size electric vehicles. Potential competitors include the BMW i4 liftback, debuting in 2021, and the upcoming Neue Klasse sedan from the same manufacturer, which is planned to be shown in 2025. At the same time, by the way, the premiere of the electric C-class is expected.
