MOSCOW, December 28 The board of directors of AvtoVAZ approved the company’s development strategy until 2030, within its framework it is planned to release 12 new models in various segments, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation reported.
“The Board of Directors of AvtoVAZ JSC also approved the company’s development strategy until 2030. As part of its implementation, it is planned to maintain Lada’s leading position in the Russian automobile market. This will be facilitated, among other things, by the release of 12 new models in various segments, and as well as the development of partnership projects,” noted the message following a meeting of the company’s board of directors. Its head is Deputy Prime Minister — Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
At the same time, three new products of the automaker are already known: Lada Aura, production of which will begin in September 2024, Lada Iskra (2025) and a new crossover on the Vesta platform (2026).
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Tolyatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva.
