The premieres will be held next year, and at the same time plans have been announced to expand the dealer network.
Russian distributor Hongqi summed up the results of the first year of the presence of the Chinese brand on our market, and also revealed plans for the next year. Let us remind you that Hongqi is a premium sub-brand of the FAW concern; official sales in the Russian Federation started in the spring, although “parallel” cars appeared in showrooms even earlier. Currently, the local range includes H5 and H9 sedans, HS5 and HS7 crossovers, the full-size electric crossover E-HS9 and the HQ9 minivan.
Hongqi H5, the most popular model of the brand in Russia
As the Hongqi press service said, in total this year in Russia more than 3,300 cars were delivered “on orders from dealers.” By the way, the premium brand’s dealer network now includes 20 centers in the capital region and “the most economically developed cities.” The most popular model of the brand in the Russian Federation was the Hongqi H5 sedan, the HS5 crossover took second place in the company's personal standings, and the E-HS9 electric car closed the top three (the results of each model are not given). It was also stated that during the current year, a spare parts warehouse was formed and filled, and logistics chains were established.

Next year, Hongqi plans to expand its official dealer network to 35-40 showrooms and increase the number of regions of presence. The sales plan for 2024 is at least 12,000 cars. There will also be premieres: the Hongqi brand is going to present “new generations of models already familiar to Russians.” Exactly which new cars will reach the Russian Federation has not yet been revealed. However, there are some guesses. Well, we note that by “new generations” they could well mean restylings.

Current Hongqi HS7 for Russia 2/2
Apparently, the transformed Hongqi HS5 and HS7 crossovers will be brought to us, because pre-reform SUVs are now being sold in Russia. In their native China, fresh versions of the crosses debuted this year; the appearance of both models was designed in the current Hongqi corporate style. The interior of the HS5 has not undergone radical changes, but a vertical tablet for the multimedia system has appeared in the interior of the older crossover. And the new Hongqi HS7 has also become simpler: this five-door is based on a front-wheel drive “transverse” platform, while its predecessor is based on a “trolley” with a longitudinal engine and main rear-wheel drive.

Meanwhile, earlier there was talk that the assembly of Hongqi cars could be established at the former Russian Mercedes plant, but in today's release dedicated to the results and plans of the Chinese premium brand, localization is not mentioned.
