MOSCOW, December 29 Russia's largest airline Aeroflot is extending its flat fare program until 2024, the company announced.
Earlier on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Aeroflot CEO Sergei Alexandrovsky. The head of state agreed with the proposal of the carrier’s top manager to extend flat tariffs for the next year.
«Special fixed prices are valid for economy class flights from Moscow to points in the Far East and Kaliningrad. The cost of tickets on Aeroflot flights from Moscow to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Magadan is 17,100 rubles one way, 28,400 RUB round trip. On Rossiya Airlines flights: 15,050 RUB one way, 25,000 RUB round trip. Ticket price on flights to Kaliningrad is 6,400 RUB one way and 10,650 RUB round trip back,» the message says.
Tariffs will be in effect throughout most of 2024, including key periods of high demand: school holidays, May holidays, summer holidays. The tariff increase is planned by 6% in October 2024. At the same time, the increase in ticket prices at “flat” fares will be lower than the annual inflation of 2023. Thus, Aeroflot strives to maintain reasonable prices for air travel to socially important destinations for Russians.
According to the terms of the tariff, one piece of luggage is included in the price. You can purchase tickets for any date from January 1 to September 30, 2024. Transportation must be arranged within 24 hours of booking. Children under 12 years of age traveling with an adult in a separate seat receive an additional 15% discount. Members of the Aeroflot Bonus program are awarded 25% miles for their flights. Changes in transportation conditions and returns are possible with additional payment.
Aeroflot's flat fare program was launched at the initiative of the air carrier and received the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The airline maintains its social responsibilities and is constantly working to improve population mobility and transport accessibility of the regions. Since the start of the program, Aeroflot Group airlines have carried more than 17 million passengers at flat fares.
