MOSCOW, December 29 Half a ton of hashish worth 800 million rubles was seized in the Pskov region, the press service of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) reported.
» Two large consignments of hashish were prevented from being imported into Russia by employees of the North-Western operational and Pskov customs together with the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Pskov region. 478 kilograms of the drug worth over 800 million rubles were seized from illicit trafficking,» the report says.
They tried to smuggle to transport two natives of Serbia into the country in two tractor-trailers that arrived from Latvia through the checkpoints of the Pskov customs.
«Criminal cases have been opened under Part 4 of Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale, committed organized group),» the department reports.
