Bangkok Post: Russian tourist drowned in Thailand
A Russian tourist drowned near the resort island of Samui in Thailand. The local edition of the Bangkok Post writes about this.
The deceased was 33 years old. The day before, he and two compatriots went for a swim at the beach. He swam far enough and was carried away by strong waves. His friends turned to the police for help, and a search was organized.
After some time, the man’s body washed up on one of the beaches. He was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem examination, and local authorities will notify the Russian Embassy of the incident.
