While trying to leave the Krasnodar Territory for Ukraine, a local resident was detained; A criminal case was opened against him for preparation for high treason (Part 1 of Article 30; Article 275 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the regional department of the FSB.
The detainee is also charged with preparation for participation in a terrorist organization (Part 1 of Article 30; Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).
According to the FSB, the Krasnodar resident “initiated contact” with a representative a paramilitary association “carrying out activities to recruit and train volunteers to participate in hostilities.” According to the security forces, the detainee planned to join an organization that is recognized as terrorist in Russia and begin to fight against the Russian military.
