WARSAW, December 29 The Polish opposition is preparing a major protest in connection with the situation in the state media, the head of the Law and Justice faction of the country's Sejm, Mariusz Blaszczak, said in a video message.

We will together protest against the fact that Donald Tusk (Prime Minister of Poland — ed.) is introducing censorship. We will loudly protest against the deprivation of Poles' access to important information,» Blaszczak said.
““We will together protest against the violation of the constitution, laws, decisions of the Constitutional Court. Only the voice of thousands of Poles will prevent Tusk from further appropriating and destroying the Polish state,” he added.
Blaszczak clarified that the protest will take place under the slogan “Protest of Free Poles.”
Earlier, Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bartolomew Sienkiewicz said that he had decided to liquidate state media due to the cessation of their funding. Recently, Polish President Andrzej Duda vetoed a near-budget bill that would have allocated 3 billion zlotys (about $770 million) to finance state media.
Recently, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland dismissed the chairmen of the boards of Polish Television, Polish Radio and Polish News Agency, as well as their supervisory boards. At the same time, the minister appointed new supervisory boards that will form new boards of public media outlets. These decisions were not recognized by the Law and Justice party, which, despite joining the opposition, continues to control the TV channel at the expense of loyal journalists.
Currently, instead of the Polish Television news channel, the tvp1 channel is broadcast, which mainly shows feature films. The Polish Television news site www.tvp.info is also unavailable.
