
MOSCOW, December 31 The Polish Gymnastics Association (PZG) condemned Polish judge Irina Lortkipanidze’s work at the “Heavenly Grace” rhythmic gymnastics tournament and deprived her of her refereeing and coaching licenses, according to the association’s website.
The international tournament «Heavenly Grace» was held in Beijing from December 15 to 17.
““The Polish Gymnastics Association opposes any action aimed at restoring the ability of athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions. This position is consistent with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG),” says a statement on the PZG website.
Gymnasts from 19 countries took part in the tournament. The tournament has been held since 2021 based on the unique rules of rhythmic gymnastics developed by the International Association of Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs «Heavenly Grace».

"The said judge was deprived of her refereeing and coaching licenses by the PZG board at the request of the disciplinary committee. This situation only confirms the correctness of the decision made. Due to the undeniable facts related to the participation of the Polish referee in the tournament, the PZG management will take further steps to protect the good image of the federation,” the association’s website reports.
