MOSCOW, December 30The European Union has not yet finally settled the question of whether it is ready to receive Russian gas arriving in transit through Ukraine, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview.
The head of Naftogaz, Alexey Chernyshov, said at the end of October that Ukraine does not intend to renew the agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Europe, which expires at the end of 2024.
Galuzin noted that Russia remains “a reliable supplier of natural gas to countries interested in sustainable supplies of this most environmentally acceptable fossil fuel.”
