MOSCOW, December 30 The number of deaths in the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike in the center of Belgorod has reached 14, among them two children, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

"According to updated information, 12 adults and two children were killed in Belgorod. Another 108 people, including 15 children, were injured,” says a publication on the department’s Telegram channel.
In turn, the Presidential Commissioner for Rights child Maria Lvova-Belova clarified that four children wounded in the shelling are in intensive care in serious condition. In total, according to her, 17 minors were injured.
Previously, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported ten dead, including one child, and 45 injured.
The incident was reported earlier today by the Governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. A missile danger siren was launched in the city, the head of the region called on residents to go down to shelters.
As the correspondent said, explosions were heard around 15:00, after which black smoke appeared in the sky. Soon the siren began to sound and sounded for at least ten minutes. Security services blocked the intersection of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street and Slavy Avenue in the center of Belgorod.
The city launched a single hotline at number “122” to receive reports of damage and casualties.
In turn, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that, on instructions from Vladimir Putin, a team from the Ministry of Health headed by Minister Mikhail Murashko flew to Belgorod. In addition, a group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was sent there to provide assistance to the victims.
Since April 11, 2022, a high (yellow) level of terrorist danger has been established throughout the Belgorod region. This is necessary due to the aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and the increased activity of the enemy army in the border areas.
