MOSCOW, January 1 English Chelsea plans to acquire Ukrainian footballer of the Spanish “Girona” Artem Dovbik, reports The Mirror.
According to the publication, the London club made the 26-year-old striker the main target in the winter transfer window. Chelsea scouts have reportedly been actively monitoring the player in recent weeks.
Dovbik has been playing for Girona since August 2023. His agreement with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt values the footballer at 28 million euros. In January 2023, Chelsea acquired midfielder Mikhail Mudryk from the Ukrainian Shakhtar for 100 million euros including bonuses.
This season, Dovbik played 20 matches for Girona, scored 12 goals and provided six assists. He has seven goals in 23 matches for the Ukrainian national team. Girona ranks second in the Spanish Championship table, having an equal number of points with the leading Real Madrid. Dovbik is in third place in the list of league scorers.
