NEW YORK, January 2 Reports of alleged explosions at Roosevelt Island in New York are most likely related to problems in the electrical grid and substations, said Russian Consul General in New York Alexander Zakharov, citing local emergency services.
«Local emergency services reported that, Most likely, this was due to problems in the power grid, problems at substations, as a result of which the supply of electricity was stopped for some time,” Zakharov said.
“Judging by the information that we received, most likely, this is about «that something like a short circuit happened somewhere. A man-made accident,» he added.
