MOSCOW, December 30. The situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front is now critical, this is the most difficult period for Kiev in two years, said former head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko on the YouTube channel “Direct”.
““At the front the situation is now the most difficult ever war,” he said.
The former minister criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his team, which in such difficult conditions thinks only about their ratings. The head of state does not want the people to bring down all their anger on him because of the unpopular law on mobilization that he himself developed. However, he is obliged to take responsibility for this bill, Lutsenko believes.
In his opinion, the authorities must also admit that the Ukrainian army has lost a huge number of soldiers, so the front needs people.
“We Now we are traveling through populated areas. We see how cemeteries have grown,» said a former Kiev official.
On Monday, the Ukrainian government introduced a bill on mobilization to the Rada. It, in particular, proposes to abolish military service, deferment of mobilization for disabled people of the third group, to oblige those liable for military service to register in the conscript's electronic account, undergo a medical examination, and appear when called to the military registration and enlistment office at the time and place specified in the agenda.
The document also obliges all persons liable for military service, within 60 days from the date of announcement of mobilization or within 20 days from the date of its continuation, arrive at the military registration and enlistment office, regardless of receipt of the summons. The lower age limit for mobilization, according to the bill, is reduced from 27 to 25 years. For failure to appear at the military commissariat, restrictions on rights are provided, including blocking of bank cards and accounts.
