ISTANBUL, January 2 The volume of Turkish exports in 2023 exceeded $255.8 billion, setting a historical record, exports to the Russian Federation increased by almost 17% , Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday.
“Our exports increased by 0.6% compared to 2022 and amounted to 255 billion 809 million dollars, breaking a record in the history of the republic,” Erdogan said, speaking at the meeting Council of Exporters of Turkey.
It is specified that Istanbul took the first place among Turkish provinces in terms of exports, followed by Kocaeli, Izmir, Bursa and Tekirdag.
«The first three countries in terms of growth in exports of Turkish goods are UAE with an increase of 63.4%, the Russian Federation — by 16.9%, Saudi Arabia — by 150.4%,» Erdogan said.
