MOSCOW, December 29 Singer Philip Kirkorov will not be deprived of the title of People's Artist due to his participation in the scandalous party of actress and blogger Anastasia Ivleeva, the press service reported Ministry of Culture.

“Yes, that’s true (Kirkorov will not be deprived of his title. — Ed.). <…> The recipient can be deprived of a state award only by a court verdict that has entered into legal force upon conviction for committing a serious or especially serious crime,” the department noted.
The ministry clarified that this procedure is determined by law.
Earlier, the head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption (FPBC) Vitaly Borodin appealed to the Ministry of Culture with a request to deprive the singer of the title of People's Artist of Russia.
According to media reports, Kirkorov’s problems began after participating in the scandalous “naked party” of Anastasia Ivleeva. Thus, he disappeared from the list of actors of the 2022 New Year's film «Self-Irony of Fate», the artist was also removed from the official poster of the movie «Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Everything!», and some scenes of the film are now being re-shot.
Kirkorov himself publicly apologized on Tuesday for his participation in the scandalous party. He claims he only stopped by for five minutes. The artist emphasized that he was aware of the mistake he had made. According to Kirkorov, he came to the club without knowing the nature of the party.
In December, a party organized by Ivleeva was held at the Moscow club «Mutabor», where many pop stars, following the dress code, came half naked. The event caused a wide public response, after which the blogger and some party participants had to make excuses.
The Khamovniki Court of Moscow registered a class action lawsuit against Ivleeva for a billion rubles in compensation for moral damage, and the rapper Vacío (Nikolai Vasilyev), who came to the club almost completely naked, arrested for 15 days.
