The Traktorozavodsky District Court of Chelyabinsk placed two defendants in the case of an attack on a group of local residents, among whom was a participant in the war in Ukraine, under house arrest. This was reported on the court's website.
18-year-old Alexey Rybak and his 17-year-old brother Grigory are accused of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). The Investigative Committee asked to send them to a pre-trial detention center, but the court chose a more lenient measure of restraint. Another person involved in the case absconded from the investigation, writes SK.
According to the security forces, early in the morning of January 1, the brothers, together with their acquaintance, “committed hooliganism <…> with the use of an object used as a weapon, as well as with the use of violence.” Earlier, the Investigative Committee wrote that young people attacked a group of local residents. The defendants in the case insulted the victims and “behaved defiantly”; the conflict itself took place in a courtyard in the Sovetsky district of Chelyabinsk.
Military correspondent Alexander Volozhanin was one of the first to report the fight on his Telegram channel. According to him, his comrade Alexander “Tyazh” with friends and a girlfriend were waiting for a taxi in Chelyabinsk when they were attacked by “five migrant children.” After this, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.
“They sprayed them with gas and started a fight with the SVO members and insulted them. Then their elders arrived and began to attack the SVO participants. My brothers explained to them that the young migrants drank too much alcohol and began to behave aggressively since the veterans were 30 years old and sober, they decided to publicize the lawlessness of the migrants and punish them according to the law. They called the police and they didn’t come,” Volozhanin wrote.
Press releases from the court and the Investigative Committee say that those detained in the case are not migrants, but natives of the Chelyabinsk region. Among the victims, according to the latest report from the Investigative Committee, there was only one participant in the war in Ukraine.
On January 1, the telegram channel “Migrants — everything as it is” published a video of the conflict. It shows a group of men walking briskly towards other people on the street. One of the attackers has in his hands an oblong object that looks like a baton, with which he hits a man off-screen with the words “What, bitch?” Later it turned out that it was not a baton, but a shoehorn.
After this, the man calls his opponents “fucking chushpans”, “Morse whores” and says that he “fucked them in the mouth”, while pointing offensive gestures. A man from the defending group then encouraged the attacker to «drop the stick» and engage in a one-on-one fist fight. The brawl flared up with renewed vigor, and one of its participants used pepper spray.
