IRKUTSK, January 5 A criminal case has been opened in Ust-Ilimsk regarding an attack by stray dogs on a schoolchild, the child was hospitalized, reports the RF SUSK for Irkutsk region.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to initiate a criminal case after an attack on a boy by stray dogs in Ust-Ilimsk.
«During the monitoring of the media and social networks, a publication was revealed that in Ust-Ilimsk two dogs bit 12- year-old boy, the child was hospitalized in the hospital. Based on this fact, the investigative authorities opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence),” the message says.
Alexander Bastrykin ordered to submit a report on the circumstances of the incident and the results of the investigation.
The prosecutor's office will check compliance with legislation on the responsible treatment of animals.
