MOSCOW, January 5 A collision between two trains occurred on Friday morning in the province of West Java in Indonesia, carriages overturned, at least 28 people were injured, one died, the Indonesian portal Tribun reports.
«Twenty-four wounded are in the Cikalenka Regional Hospital, two in the Cikalenka Community Health Center, two in the local hospital, one person died,» the publication quotes the acting governor of West Java, Bey Mahmudin, as saying.
The official added that an employee working on one of the trains died in the collision. According to Makhmudin, data on the dead and injured is still being updated.
The total number of passengers on the two trains involved in the accident was 478 people. The Turangga train had 287 passengers and the Bandung Raya commuter train had 191 passengers.
