
MOSCOW, January 4 A train traveling from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow was forced to stop in the Moscow region due to a shutdown of the heating system, reported the Moscow Railway (Moscow Railway, branch RUSSIAN RAILWAYS).
“»Today at 19.04 at the Elektrougli station in the Moscow region, passenger train No. 705 Nizhny Novgorod — Moscow made a forced stop due to a shutdown of the heating system. A reserve train was promptly sent to the station to replace the electric train,» the message says.
MOR notes that during the waiting period the air temperature in the carriages did not drop below 19 degrees Celsius.
“»At 19.50, passengers were transferred to a reserve train, after which they continued to travel in comfortable conditions. The train arrived at the final station — Vostochny Station — at 21.27. The lag behind the schedule was almost 2 hours,» writes the Moscow Railways.
