CHELYABINSK, January 4 The movement of six trains detained at the Kunashak-Muslyumovo station of the South Ural Railway in the Chelyabinsk region has been restored, the Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office reported in its telegram -channel.
It is clarified that the movement was restarted at 17.43 local time (15.43 Moscow time). The cause of the incident was a breakdown of the axle box unit of the wheelset of a freight train car. Because of this, several passenger trains carrying a total of 2,827 people stopped.
We are talking about the following trains:
- No. 346 Adler — Nizhnevartovsk. He was detained for almost nine hours.
- No. 332 Ufa — Novy Urengoy. The forced stop lasted 5 hours 56 minutes.
- No. 331 Novy Urengoy — Ufa. He was detained for four and a half hours
- No. 122 Orenburg — Yekaterinburg. The stop lasted 5 hours 34 minutes,
- No. 146 Chelyabinsk — St. Petersburg. He stood there for 2 hours and 27 minutes.
In addition, commuter train No. 6256 from Chelyabinsk to Kamensk-Uralsky was delayed for 6 hours 53 minutes.
The Chelyabinsk transport prosecutor went to the scene of the incident. In addition, the operational headquarters of the South Ural Railway was convened, and interaction was established with the responsible departments of the Sverdlovsk Railway.
The Transport Prosecutor's Office at the Chelyabinsk-Glavny station organized the work of a mobile reception, and passengers were provided with food. In addition, the department checks compliance with laws on traffic safety and operation of railway transport and on the protection of consumer rights.
