MOSCOW, January 4 Central Election Commission at a meeting in Friday will consider the registration of LDPR Chairman Leonid Slutsky and State Duma Vice Speaker Vladislav Davankov as candidates for the post of President of the Russian Federation.
““Agenda of the meeting of the Central Election Commission on January 5, 2024… On the registration of a candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky…. On the registration of a candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation Vladislav Andreevich Davankov,” the agenda says on the CEC website.
It was previously reported that on January 1, the Russian Central Election Commission accepted Slutsky’s documents for registration as a candidate for the post of President of Russia. Davankov also submitted documents to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation on January 1 to register as a candidate for the presidency of Russia from the New People party.
The Russian presidential elections will be held on March 17, 2024. Nominees from parliamentary parties do not need to collect voter signatures; they can submit documents for registration until the end of January. The CEC must decide on the registration of all candidates no later than February 10.
