In the Moscow region, a case was opened due to restrictions on the supply of heat to houses

MOSCOW, January 7 A criminal case was opened in Podolsk due to restrictions on the supply of energy resources to residential buildings and organizations, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region reported in Telegram- channel.

"Based on the results of a pre-investigation check on this fact, the investigative department for the city of Podolsk of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code (“Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements”),” the department clarified.

As the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee added, due to improper operation by employees of a closed joint-stock company of a boiler house in Podolsk, a breakdown of heating mains occurred. After this, residential premises, as well as medical, educational and preschool institutions located in the Klimovsk microdistrict, were left without heat supply and hot water.

Now the premises of the organization servicing the boiler room are being searched, technical documentation is being confiscated and management is being questioned. The investigation is looking into the causes and conditions that led to the accident.

Before this, the head of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, asked the Investigative Committee to intervene in the situation with a private boiler house in order to transfer it to a municipal enterprise for operation.

Earlier, he reported that the owner of the organization caused an accident, the circumstances of which were being investigated by law enforcement agencies. As the vice-governor of the Moscow region Evgeny Khromushin clarified, the incident was hidden from the regional authorities for almost a day.
The accident on the heating main from the boiler house of KSPZ CJSC in Podolsk became known on January 5. In total, 170 houses were left without heating in the Klimovsk microdistrict in Podolsk. On this day, the temperature in the Moscow region dropped below minus 20 degrees, and in the first hours after the accident, heat supply to 20 houses was restored.

On January 6, due to a prolonged lack of heating in the Klimovsk microdistrict, a local emergency regime was introduced in the city. Due to frost, the system froze and during startup there were breaks on the main line and in houses.

On Saturday, one boiler was launched, and heat was supplied in two stages to some of the buildings. According to the press service, 60 houses have now been provided with heat.
At the same time, the second boiler was launched today in the Klimovsk microdistrict. As Vorobiev explained, there will now be enough power to heat unheated apartments.
On January 5, the prosecutor's office began an investigation due to interruptions in the supply of electricity, heat and water supply in the Moscow region.
