DONETSK, January 5 Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and the general director of the Russian Society «Knowledge» Maxim Dreval signed an agreement on cooperation between the republic and the organization.
«The Day of the Donetsk People's Republic at the exhibition «Russia» at VDNKh began with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Donetsk People's Republic and the All-Russian public-state educational organization «Russian Society «Knowledge» with its leader Maxim Dreval,» Pushilin wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also said that the decision to restart the Knowledge society is “absolutely timely” and called it a necessary step.
The head of the DPR emphasized that the republic is actively involved in the work of the Knowledge Society, and noted that a branch of the organization has already been located in the region, where educational projects, marathons, lectures and master classes are held. Pushilin said that during the year the regional branch held over 2 thousand events, expressing hope that the signing of the agreement will expand cooperation between the DPR and the Knowledge society.
Last November, Dreval proposed organizing regional days for the Russia exhibition and forum, and also assured that all projects of the Knowledge Society are fully accessible to residents of new regions of the Russian Federation.
The exhibition-forum «Russia» will be held from November 4 to March 17 in Moscow on the territory of VDNKh.
The Russian Society «Knowledge» traces its history back to the Soviet public organization founded in 1947 on the initiative of representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia as the «All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Scientific Knowledge» (since 1963 — the All-Union Society «Knowledge», since 1991 — Society «Knowledge of Russia»). Members of the society popularized science and gave lectures on the achievements of the Soviet economy and industry. In 2016, “Knowledge of Russia” was transformed into the All-Russian public and state educational organization “Russian Society “Knowledge”. On April 21, 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his message to the Federal Assembly, stated the need to restart the Russian society “Knowledge” on a modern digital platform.< br>
