MOSCOW, January 7 The Donbass authorities are fighting against speculators who inflate prices in the republic, cases have already been opened, and the work will soon intensify, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said in an interview.
«Where there is an increase of several times, these are already speculative crimes, and we have mechanisms, how we deal with this,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
“It is now absolutely obvious to us that our prices are higher than in the Rostov region, and our current task is to make prices equal, not higher. Therefore, our specialized departments work here, and we have already opened cases,” said Pushilin .
According to him, of course, there are objective circumstances for the difference in prices.
“It’s more expensive to bring products, because carriers charge more for delivery over the same distance as in other regions — because they shoot, because they fly, because there are additional risks,” he noted.
“But «We understand perfectly well that where there is speculative overvaluation, we need to get involved. The relevant departments, the Ministry of Industry and Trade are involved, the presidential administration has its finger on the pulse,» Pushilin emphasized.
