MOSCOW, January 7 Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev said that winning the Hong Kong tournament will give him more confidence heading into the Australian Open.
On Sunday, the Russian beat Finn Emil Ruusuvuori in the final of the competition with a score of 6:4, 6:4 and won the 15th title in his career.
«»It's a wonderful feeling. I really enjoyed the week I spent here. It's very nice to start the season with a title. I liked the city, the tournament, and I played good tennis. I played well throughout the tournament. I think I played at a high level in the final “This will give me more confidence at the Australian Open,” the website of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) quotes Rublev as saying.
The Australian Open will be held from January 14 to 28.
