MOSCOW, January 8 People's Artist of Russia, singer Philip Kirkorov will donate his fee for participating in the project «New Year's Mask» on the NTV channel to residents of Belgorod who suffered from a terrorist attack to the city. He himself announced this on his VK page.
«Today I decided to donate my fee for participating in the TV project «New Year's Mask» on the NTV channel to the residents of the city of Belgorod who suffered from the inhumane terrorist attack that occurred on New Year's days,» — Kirkorov wrote.
In December, a party was held at the Moscow club «Mutabor», where many Russian pop stars, following the dress code, came half naked. It was organized by blogger Anastasia Ivleeva. The event caused a negative resonance in society, Ivleeva and several other participants had to make excuses.
So, Kirkorov said that he “dropped in for five minutes” at the party and left. He also noted that he realized his mistake and now hopes that it will not become a reason for limiting his creativity in Russia.
Kirkorov’s performance at the Winter Show canceled. It was scheduled for January 1st. In addition, scenes with the artist’s participation were cut from the film “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Everything,” in which he played Peter I.
In turn, the head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption (FPBC) Vitaly Borodin appealed to the Ministry of Culture with a request to deprive the singer of the title of People's Artist of Russia. Later, the department's press service reported that they were not going to do this.
Attacks on Belgorod
On the afternoon of December 30, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Belgorod. According to the Ministry of Defense, they used Alder missiles with a cassette part and the Czech Vampire MLRS. Air defense systems intercepted most of the shells, but several ammunition and cluster units hit the city. As the department emphasized, enemy troops carried out shelling in an attempt to divert attention from defeats at the front and provoke the Russian army into similar actions.
According to the latest data, 25 people became victims of the attack, including five children, and more than a hundred people were injured. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the articles “Attempted murder”, “Murder”, “Intentional destruction or damage to property”.
In the first days of the new year, Belgorod came under fire again. Thus, during the day on January 2, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 24 Vilkha and two Tochka-U missiles into the city and region, and on January 3, six Tochka-U and six Vilkha MLRS shells. In this case, one person died and 12 were injured. The most massive shelling of the Belgorod region occurred on January 6 — Ukrainian troops fired 129 shells, mainly at the Grayvoronsky urban district and the Belgorod region.
President Vladimir Putin called the attack on Belgorod a terrorist attack, noting that it was a targeted attack on the civilian population, which will not go unpunished.
