MOSCOW, January 9 Police detained suspects in setting fire to the door to the apartment of Sputnik radio presenter and one of the authors of the “Izolenta” program Trofim Tatarenkov in St. Petersburg, reported the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk in the Telegram channel.
“Police officers quickly detained suspects of setting fire to the door of a journalist’s apartment in St. Petersburg,” wrote Irina Volk.
Previously about Tatarenkov told about this incident. According to him, the arson occurred when no one was in the room, but there was a light on inside that could be seen from the street. Therefore, the journalist believes, the calculation was precisely on victims. Tatarenkov also added that he suspects a “Ukrainian trace” in what happened.
The police have opened a criminal case for deliberate destruction or damage to someone else’s property.
