
PYATIGORSK, January 10 Three trucks and a car collided on the highway in the Andropovsky district of the Stavropol Territory, one person was injured, the regional state traffic inspectorate reports on Telegram- channel.
According to the department, the accident occurred on Wednesday at 8.10 Moscow time on the 279th kilometer of the Caucasus highway. 
«The driver of a Renault truck did not maintain a safe distance and collided with a KamAZ truck moving in front. The impact causes the KamAZ trailer to turn across the road. At this time, the driver of a Renault passenger car moving behind applies emergency braking. However, the driver of a MAZ truck moving behind does not have time to react and allows a collision first with a Renault car, and then a collision with a Kamaz car. The MAZ driver was injured in a car accident, he had to be rescued from the damaged cab by rescuers, and he was taken to the hospital,» the department informs.
It was established that the victim was a resident of Mikhailovsk.
«The Renault was driven by a 28-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory, who was sober and not a persistent traffic violator. It is possible that the cause of the collision could have been fatigue from a long journey,» the department noted.
The regional State Traffic Safety Inspectorate added that at the scene of the incident, traffic in the direction of Mineralnye Vody is difficult and is organized in one lane.
